Valuation of Development Stage Companies Date/Time: Location: The Bio/Medical Technology Club of Houston is pleased to announce the subject of its April 6, 2004 breakfast meeting. The presentation will provide an understanding of valuation approaches applicable for development stage companies, the similarity and differences with traditional valuation approaches, and how early-stage companies can prepare for the venture capital funding process. The presentation will be led by Mr. John Boettiger, a principal with Deloitte & Touche and Mr. Daniel Peckham, a senior manager with Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Boettiger and Mr. Peckham are both members of the Financial Advisory Services practice of Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Boettiger has over seven years experience working on matters involving strategic business planning, acquisitions, and capital-raising assignments. He has served a variety of clients in a number of industries. However, his focus and interests are in the healthcare and technology industries. Mr. Peckham has 9 years of experience providing a wide range of valuation and related financial services to leading technology and telecommunications companies. Mr. Peckham has substantial experience performing valuation engagements involving business interests, business enterprises, and early-stage companies as well as technology and other intangible assets.
