Map and Driving Information

Event Information :
Regenetech, Inc. (www.regenetech.com) is a Houston biotech company just over two years old. The company has licensed 13 NASA patents in the adult stem cell expansion area. In addition, in two years, Regenetech has filed over 30 of its own patent applications relating to regeneration of human tissue with expanded adult stem cells. These patent applications cover heart regeneration, pancreas regeneration (diabetes treatment), and other leading regeneration technology.

Before the company was two years old, it licensed its patent applications for sickle cell disease treatment providing the company with cash flow in less than two years, unusual for the biotech industry.

In addition to the patent license with NASA, Regenetech has a Reimbursable Space Act Agreement (RSAA) with NASA whereby NASA is paid to provide research for the company. This research is important to Regenetech and is also useful to NASA for long duration space travel.

In working with NASA on the patent license and the RSAA, Regenetech has worked closely with NASA’s Technology Transfer & Commercialization Office.

Rob Parker will discuss the business aspects of the start-up and working with NASA in negotiating agreements. Dr. Rudd will discuss Intellectual Property and how Regenetech worked with NASA in developing Intellectual Property whether owned by NASA, jointly owned, or owned by Regenetech.
Robert (Rob) Parker, President of Regenetech, has been an independent consultant on mergers, acquisitions and start up ventures for most of his career. Previously he was an executive in the telecommunications industry, including positions as Chief Executive Officer of Vista Telecom and Chief Operating Officer of Phones For All. Mr. Parker has a B.S. from the University of South Florida.
Donnie Rudd, Ph.D., D.Sc., D.D., J.D is Chief Scientist, Director of Intellectual Property and Corporate Secretary of Regenetech. Dr. Rudd has numerous degrees in law, engineering, biotechnology and bioscience. He was a patent attorney for Quaker Oats and U. S. Gypsum. He has written over 15 books and 160 publications.
