Speaker Bio:
Kala Marathi is the Managing Director of the Houston Angel Network. She has more than 10 years of operating and financial experience. Kala was formerly with Reliant Energy where she was a founding member of the corporate venture group, Reliant Energy Net Ventures, and led investments in home automation technologies. At Continental Airlines, Kala managed the profitability a key operational hub, and helped lead the airline?s new market entry strategy into Japan. At Chase Manhattan Bank, she facilitated corporate finance and credit advisory services for the petrochemical, paper, and mining industries. She has B.A.. in Japanese and Economics from Wellesley College, and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
