BioHouston, Inc.
Jason is responsible for a range of programs designed to increase
Houston's momentum in technology commercialization, including
teaching the Biotech 101 course, chairing/facilitating regional
committees related to regulatory affairs, technology transfer
and human resources, managing the organization's Pharma Partnering
Program, and managing the member benefits portfolio.
Prior to joining BioHouston, Jason was responsible for a broad
range of new-drug development and registration activities in
all stages of development for both established and emerging biotechnology
companies, primarily focused on oncology and infectious diseases.
Jason's specific expertise is in drug development and strategic
project management at the portfolio level. Among those companies
are Amgen, Antigenics, Aronex Pharmaceuticals and Introgen Therapeutics.
He has been a consultant in regulatory affairs, strategy and
medical writing for biotechnology companies and academic research
labs engaged in new drug development. He holds an M.S. in medical
writing from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. from the
University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business.

Julie Klim
Principal
Capital Royalty L.P.
Julie Klim co-founded Capital Royalty in 2003. Prior to joining
Capital Royalty, Ms. Klim was Director, Worldwide Business Development
for GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals (GSK), the second-largest
pharmaceutical company in the world with 2004 revenues of over
$38 billion.
Ms. Klim has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry
and particularly in pharmaceutical licensing. Ms. Klim was a
member of the Worldwide Business Development team of SmithKlineBeecham
plc prior to SmithKline's merger with Glaxo Wellcome plc in 2000.
She has successfully negotiated licensing and co-promotion deals
with multinational pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies,
drug delivery companies, and individual inventors across a broad
range of therapeutic areas including metabolic, anti-viral and
oncology.
Prior to joining SmithKline Beecham in 1996, Ms. Klim was a financial
analyst and internal auditor for Johnson Matthey, plc a precious
metals trader and manufacturer. From 1990 to 1994, Ms. Klim worked
in the public accounting industry as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand
in Philadelphia, PA.
Ms. Klim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree
from The Pennsylvania State University in 1990.
