Meeting Topic: "Sagacious: A New Venture and Solution for Life Sciences"

Speaker:
Chris Wasden

Company:
Sagacious Advisors develops new ventures by commercializing technologies in the life science market here in Texas. The founders, Christopher L Wasden and Mitchell L Wasden, are serial entrepreneurs with their most recent venture being Tympany, Inc., a Houston-based, medical device company they sold in 2004, that invented and produced the Otogram, a revolutionary, disruptive technology that completely transformed the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss.

Sagacious Advisors focuses on life science technologies that have the following characteristics:

1) diagnostic devices, medical devices and research tools;
2) next generation or disruptive technologies with substantial early development and proof of concept completed;
3) short regulatory path, generally an FDA 510(k) or an exempt device;
4) large existing or new market that are of interest to larger life science companies that are likely prospective buyers of the startup; and
5) requires direct and/or indirect marketing, sales and distribution.

Sagacious Advisors is creating a portfolio of companies, with Texas technologies or those we import from other areas to Texas, with the expectation Sagacious Advisors will commercially launch a new venture every 12-18 months.

Co-founder Chris Wasden will describe Sagacious, its business model and plans, and discuss the Company's current activities.
