Organization and Speakers:
The University of Houston, Texas' premier public metropolitan
research and teaching institution, is home to over forty research
centers and institutes and sponsors more than 300 partnerships
with corporate, civic, and governmental entities.
UH offers 110 bachelors, 135 masters, 50 doctoral, and 3 special
professional degree programs through the university's 12 colleges.
The university awards some 5,700 degrees annually.
The Office of Intellectual Property Management (OIMP) is responsible
for all intellectual property at UH including patents, trademarks,
copyrights, trade secrets, licenses, and developing technology
start-up companies.
