Richard Buday, FAIA
Archimage, Inc.


Richard Buday, FAIA is president and founder of Archimage, a twenty-four-year-old digital arts studio. A professional architect by training, Richard and his firm have won more than thirty international awards for design including broadcast television commercials; retail, commercial and educational video games and interactive media; illustration and graphic design for corporate identity, magazine covers and print advertisements. Richard is current principal investigator of a $9M NIH grant to develop two videogames for health.

Richard taught at the University of Houston for more than fifteen years and has written extensively on the use of computers in design. Richard has also been invited to lecture or deliver keynote addresses at more than 70 international conferences and seminars. More than fifty articles about Richard and the firm have been published – from U.S. News and World Report to The Financial Times. Archimage is an approved Nintendo GameCube developer. The firm's clients include Nintendo, Time Warner Communications, Compaq Computer Corporation, IBM, Knowledge Adventure, The Walt Disney Company, the Texas State Education Agency, Ziff-Davis Communications, Baylor College of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.
